Briefing Commands

The example shows a typical set of briefing commands.

The name of the file would be (for a scenario named 'cerro') cerro-gerEnglish.txt. Since the file has in it all the needed briefing information for the US side, it could also be cerro-USEnglish.txt.

This file is usually built using the Scenario Editor. WordPad or any other ASCII editing program can be used to make changes to it. Since the file is a plain vanilla ASCII text file, many editors can be used.

Each of the bracketed commands in the example has a number as its last parameter. The numbers are the number of the .WAV file which 'speaks' the message.

If you are preparing real .WAV files, the following notes may be useful:
(1) The files will be stored in folder: ..\Panzer Elite\Desert\Wavs\Briefing\GerEnglish\Cerro\ (for a scenario named 'cerro').
(2) File (for scenario 'cerro') cerroFTger.wav contains the 'failed text' message.
cerroSTger.wav contains the 'success text' message.
cerroBger1.wav contains message 1, cerroBger2.wav contains message 2, etc.
Note the files are stored in folder \GerEnglish\ meaning they will be used when playing the German side and spoken in English. \GerGerman\ is for the German side spoken in German, and \USEnglish\ is for the US side spoken in English.
